Can I bring a plus one (or more)?
Our ceremony and reception venues have limited space, so only invited guests can join the main events. But we’d love for you to bring your partner and kiddos along to enjoy the island—there’s plenty to explore and do! While we’re tying the knot and celebrating, your loved ones can still kick back and enjoy Boracay in their own way.
Can I take photos during the festivities?
Yes please -- we'd love to see our special day from your perspective. And if you don't mind sharing, we'll also send a Google Photo album link after the wedding so we (and our guests) can see everyones pictures and videos!
What is the weather like in Boracay?
January is a great time to visit Boracay, with comfortable temperatures and pleasant sea conditions. While there may be occasional showers, they are typically brief, allowing for plenty of beach and outdoor enjoyment.
Will the wedding be indoors?
The ceremony and cocktails will be held at Shangri-la Boracay's Alon Garden, so you can still be near the beach without getting sand in your shoes.
For the reception dinner and after-party, we will transfer to the nearby (air-conditioned!) Sagana Ballroom.
Is January part of Boracay's peak season?
Yes. Due to the influx of tourists during this peak season, accommodations and flights may be more expensive and in high demand. We suggest booking travel and lodging well in advance to secure the best options.
Where should I stay in Boracay?
You can stay at any hotel in Boracay. That said, we highly recommend staying at our venue, Shangri-la Boracay, for maximum convenience. Please refer to the "Accommodations" section of this web site for details on availing our special wedding rates.
How do I get to Shangri-la if I'm staying elsewhere?
We will be providing shuttle service for guests on our wedding day. Please inform our coordinator of your lodging so we can include you in the list.
Why is there a dog in your invitation?
Thanks for noticing! That's our dearest Shiba Inu, Yoshi, whom we love very much and would've wanted to be part of our ceremony. Unfortunately, it's too difficult to fly him to Boracay, so we decided to find other ways to make him part of our special day!
Who is the greatest Formula 1 driver of all time?
Whoever it is, it's definitely not Lewis Hamilton. Dudududu... 🎵
